Ella History & Studio

The Artistic Latguage

Ella Jensen is an internationally trained artist with a multifaceted creative approach. Born in Russia, she lived in Estonia for several years and currently works and lives in Barcelona. She studied fashion design at the Izhevsk College of Arts, continued her studies at the St. Petersburg State University of Technology and Design, and then earned an MFA from De Montfort University in the UK. This diverse cultural and professional experience has shaped her unique artistic language.

Entangled Worlds

Ella Jensen's work centers on nature and the complex relationships between humans, animals, and plants. Her works explore the profound connection between modern civilization and nature, as well as the similar dependence humans have on the environment. She addresses themes such as the fragility of life, the coexistence of living beings, and the need for a more careful approach to the natural world around us.

Visual Metaphors

Ella expresses her ideas through painting, illustration, and ceramics, creating multilayered images in which people, animals, and plants are combined into a single artistic composition. These visual metaphors emphasize the unity of all forms of life and blur the boundaries between them. Through her art, the artist seeks to evoke in the viewer a sense of nostalgia for the morning harmony with nature, inspire mindfulness, and a return to the beauty and values of the world around us.
